I was 26, single and had been dating on and off from online websites for a little over 5 years. I have had a profile on 3 online dating sites and 1 dating app in total. Swipe right please! 😉 Speaking of Tinder there’s a really cool story that came out of that app – Read it HERE. Anyways, I know 5 years seems like a lot for a girl in her 20s but I wasn’t much of a traditional dating kind of girl. What I mean by that is that men didn’t really approach me all that often. My friends always had boyfriends and I had gotten used to being 3rd and 5th wheel. I often asked myself why I was the only one of my friends that never had a boyfriend. I wasn’t complaining, but it was something that I thought about.
Motherhood has a way to test your limits. I thought I would slide into the mom status with no hiccups. Schedule changes, midnight feedings, breastfeeding troubles, and colic… I felt ready for it. Boy was I wrong. I didn’t rip my hair out, scream or cry endlessly but it was difficult. I needed advice all the time in order to properly care for my baby girl. I needed other moms to calm my worries and answer my never-ending list of questions. So naturally I turned to Google.
So. Fake Tanning. Sunless Tan. Bronzing Mousse. Whatever you want to call it, I’m all about it.
(Warning ** This is along one)
What a start to the week! Mondays are hard on everyone, amariteeee? After a busy Father’s Day weekend we at the Gould house are catching up on some house work, yard work and for me, well just work. Since being on my so-called mat-leave, my administrative work for the Spa has been rough. (For those of you that don’t know, I own a Day Spa here in Ottawa and since I am self-employed, I don’t really get maternity leave.) Read More >>
Hi guys! How are you all this fine Friday? I don’t know about you but this week has been crazzzzy. I was talking with my parents tonight over supper and we were trying to look back over the week to talk about what we’d done and for the life of me I couldn’t pin down what I had been up to! Juggling work, family and home has been hard to do lately. Once Samuel will be on a schedule it’ll make things a little easier but for now, we’re just dealing with all the crazy.
Hey everyone, I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend and are taking advantage of this beautiful weather. Here in Ottawa it’s absolutely beautiful! It’s going to be 28 degrees Celsius (I think that’s in the 80s for you in the US.) It’s been pouring rain here for a few weeks so we deserve some sunshine!!
Hi everyone! Hoping this week is treating you well 🙂 Since it was Memorial Day yesterday I’m going to take the time to thank those in uniform who do so much for all of you beautiful people south of the border, and it reminds us in Canada to do the same to everyone serving our great country.
Day 1 of a 4 day week and I’m not mad. Yes, I do work and I still have to plan my days around my husband’s schedule and he’s still at work, so maternity leave or not, this is a work week. Especially today! I am tackling a couple of things for the spa, getting a look done over on the blog plus nursing and taking care of a toddler. So day 1, let’s do this.
Hey ladies and gents! I’m back! If you follow me on Instagram or snapchat you’ll know that I am alive and well and have introduced a little baby boy in the last couple of weeks. Hence my hiatus. I’m slowly and surely getting back into blogging, slowly but surely being the key words. As you can tell, most of what I post about is fashion, shopping and style. Towards the end of my pregnancy I was reluctant to go out and spend a whole bunch of money on pieces I may not ever wear again. So my posts were short, sweet and far and in between. This past week I went shopping and boy did this feel AHHHHHH-MAZING. I picked up some super cute pieces for adorable outfits. All of which I’ll be sharing in the next few weeks.
Happy Sunday friends!
It’s been a while, you don’t have to tell me. I’ve been feeling rotten lately and haven’t put myself together well enough to share! Under 2 weeks to go before meeting Baby Boy! I’m going to miss this bump let me tell you. But this morning, sun was shining and it’s so freaking gorgeous out that it gave a little boost and got the hubby to take some photos.
